Tortuga bay is located on the island of Santa Cruz in Galapagos-Ecuador,There is a small road 2.5 kilometers long . The beach is perfectly preserved and with the presence of wild animals such as marine iguanas , beach crubs . In the mangroves it is very common to find multicolored walking crabs, brown pelicans, white tip reef sharks and Galapagos tortoise.
The bay is accessible through an improved road from the southwest side of the city, is famous for the spectacular white send beach and for its extensive and pristine coastline that gradually descends towards the resplendent Pacific Ocean.
Its great place to try your hand at surfing or just relax and sunbathe with the marine iguanas you will find on the beach. Sea turtles that go to that place and lay their eggs, other species that can be found here are , Darwin´s finches , cucuves, frigate birds and more…during the walk alone the access path, there is a vegetation from the lower part of the transition zone, as well as from the dry zone and the coastal zone.
